Emergency services were called to the scene on Tile Street in Wacol at around 2.15am on October 14.

The 73-year-old man from Ellen Grove was the sole occupant of an Isuzu DMAX utility when he struck a concrete barrier and metal fencing before veering off the road.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries, where he died four days later on October 18.
