Anticipation is building ahead of this year’s The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane, with early registrations open for the event, which is set to attract a bumper crowd.

The 2025 The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane is set to see an estimated 35,000 people of all ages and abilities take to the streets and bridges of Brisbane on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Queensland’s biggest and best-loved fun run is a key fundraiser for hundreds of charities, with a fundraising target of $1.1m set for this year’s event.

Early registrations have opened for this year’s Bridge to Brisbane, with discounted entries available until Monday, June 30, 2025.

Bridge to Brisbane ambassador Abbey Hall said the annual fun run was a great event to be a part of.

“The atmosphere and vibes at Bridge to Brisbane are unreal, I’m super pumped to try and beat my time from last year, and just enjoy the morning, as it’s one you don’t want to miss,” she said.

Ms Hall said running was a fantastic way to challenge yourself and that the feeling of crossing the finishing line was hard to top.

“I love how challenging but rewarding running is, your mind can play a lot of tricks on you when you run, especially longer distances so I love being able to overcome that and get to the finish line,” she said.

“The “runners high” is definitely a thing.”

Ms Hall added that it is critical to prepare for the event and taking part in the event with friends is a great way to have fun.

“Train 1-2 times a week in lead up to the event so you feel confident,” she said,

“Having friends to run with is definitely a huge motivator, get as many of your friends/fam there as you can.

“If you’re a beginner forget about your time/pace – just enjoy the journey at Bridge to Brisbane.”
