Teen breaches bail 13 times, smashes up police vans and holding cells

A young Dalby man laughed at police when they asked him why he had breached his bail 13 times, but he wasn’t laughing after a magistrate told him to shut his mouth

An 18-year-old Dalby man has found himself back on the streets after a brief stint behind bars following 13 breaches of bail and an erratic rampage.

Noah Charles Cubby appeared in the Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday over AVL from prison where he pleaded guilty to 13 breaches of bail, obstructing police, wilful damage and public nuisance.

The court heard 11 of the 13 breaches related to curfew checks with Cubby not being present when police came knocking.

On February 22, 2025 police attended a Dalby property to confront Cubby on his previous failures to report.

When they attempted to talk to him he allegedly laughed in the officers’ faces and told them he had “better things to do” before becoming “extremely erratic” calling the police “c**ts” and subsequently being arrested.

Cubby’s erratic behaviour continued when he was placed into a police van and attempted to kick out the divider between the drivers and the holding cell.

When he was removed from the van he then lashed out and hit another police vehicle.

The court was told Cubby’s rampage continued in the cells where he damaged the walls by scraping his name into them before he was moved into a padded cell.

In the padded cell Mr Cubby took off his shorts and continuously threw them at a camera located in the top corner of the room, damaging it and the cell is currently without a camera.

Mr Cubby was also sentenced for a separate matter which occurred on January 11 at 7pm.

The court was told police attended a Dalby address after witnesses reported a shirtless man punching a woman.

When they arrived they saw a shirtless Cubby standing in the yard and a woman driving away in a car.

When police attempted to talk to Cubby he launched into a rant and was alleged to have said “c**t she hit me, I’m not a fu**ing woman beater c**t, I take chunks out of woman beaters and rapists.”

He was then arrested for public nuisance.

While Magistrate Kathleen Payne read out the police statement Cubby could be seen over AVL throwing his hands into the air.

Magistrate Payne asked him if he had anything to say and he vehemently denied hitting the woman.

“I grew up around women, I don’t hit women,” he said.

“It hurts me to hear this s**t”

“Keep your mouth shut, it is in your best interest,” Magistrate Payne told him.

After 27 days behind bars Cubby was immediately released with time served and received no further punishment.
