Stephen Whyatt sentenced for Jimbour East crash that killed three people
A man has faced court more than a year after being involved in a crash that killed a father and his two children in Queensland.
A driver has been fined $1500, with no conviction recorded, after he faced court for his involvement in a crash that killed a father and his two children.
Phil Harris and his two children, 15-year-old Ocean and Warrior, 8, died in a horrific crash in Jimbour East on June 17, 2024.
The crash occurred on Dalby Jandowae Rd after a sedan that was reversing was struck from behind by a LandCruiser utility vehicle.
The impact killed husband and father, Phil Harris and his two children, Ocean Harris and Warrior Harris.
The mother of the two children and wife of Phil Harris, Krystal Reddacliff, was also in the vehicle and survived the incident.
She was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital at the time in critical condition.
Almost a year and a half after the incident, the offending driver appeared in a Dalby court for sentencing.
Stephen Whyatt appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court on November 5 for a charge of one count of driving without due care and attention.
The 54-year-old was fined $1500 and no conviction was recorded.
