A 24 year-old Dalby man on parole for drug charges has been caught red handed stashing methamphetamine and marijuana down his pants.
Jacob Richard Charles Holder faced the Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday pleading guilty to two counts of drug possession.
The court was told that on December 27, 2024, police spotted Holder walking down the street “sweating profusely” and appearing to be under the influence of drugs.
When police approached him the court was told Holder lifted his right leg and began pushing an item down his pants leg.
Police asked him what he was hiding, and while Holder initially denied having anything down his pants he later told police it was drugs and removed two clip seal bags one containing 1.14g of cannabis and the other 0.3g of methamphetamine.
The court was told Holder had been released on parole two months earlier on October 15 after serving a stint in custody for drug and domestic violence offences.
Holder’s lawyer told the court his client had been clean for some time but had relapsed after falling back in with the wrong crowd.
Holder was sentenced to one month on each charge, suspended for 12 months.
A conviction was also recorded.
