A series of drink, unlicensed and unregistered drivers faced the Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
From a man caught riding a motorbike while being unlicensed since 2015 to a woman with no priors caught smack bang on the alcohol limit these are the people who were sentenced on Tuesday.
Elizabeth Morrison
Morrison appeared in court pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol after recording a reading “smack bang on the limit”.
The court was told that on January 25, 2025 at about 11.50am Morrison was subject to an RBT on Sara St, Tara and returned a reading of 0.05.
Morrison, who had no prior history to speak off, not even a parking ticket, said she was “kicking herself”.
Magistrate Kathleen Payne described the offending as “out of character” and fined her $350, one month loss of licence and no conviction.
Ashley Livingstone
Livingstone, 49, appeared in court pleading guilty to driving unregistered, unlicensed and uninsured after he was detected riding a motorbike on Tara Kogan Rd.
The court was told that on January 20, 2025 at 3.50pm in Tara police intercepted Livingstone riding a motorbike and mustering cattle.
Livingstone told the court he had been on the side of the road rather than the road itself but Ms Payne argued that it was still a public road.
Police subjected Livingstone to a licence check which revealed he had been unlicensed since July 2015 as well as being uninsured and unregistered since July 2024.
When sentencing Ms Payne took into account Livingstone had previously been before court for unlicensed driving in 2020.
He was fined $800 and no conviction was recorded.
Ryan Garry-John Cortes
Cortes, 23, faced court pleading guilty to driving over the middle alcohol limit.
On January 1, 2025 Cortes was intercepted on Roche St returning a reading of 0.064.

No conviction was recorded.
Anthony James Edward Aldridge
Aldridge faced court pleading guilty to driving without a licence following an incident on January 29, 2025.
Police intercepted Aldridge on the Warrego Highway where they found he had been unlicensed for some time.
He told the court he had been staying at a different address and hadn't received mail warning him his licence was due to expire.
He was fined $150 and no conviction was recorded.
Justin Davis
Davis appeared in court pleading guilty to one count of drink driving after being detected in Munduberra on December 19, 2024.
The court was told Davis was intercepted on Strathbee St and after an RBT returned a reading of 0.083.
Davis’ lawyer described the drink driving as a “morning after offence” and said his client had been drinking the night before.
He was fined $500 and received a two month loss of licence.
Davis also applied for a work license which he was granted.
