Western Downs police have charged a man following a fatal crash just outside of Miles earlier this year.

A 50-year-old Mount Hallen man, who was riding a motorbike on Brownlies Rd at Columboola on March 4, died at the scene following a collision between his motorcycle, a second motorcycle and a utility.

The second motorcyclist, an 18-year-old male, was transferred to Miles Hospital with a fractured arm an dother non-life threatening injuries, while the utility driver was left uninjured.

Following investigations, Dalby police on Thursday charged the alleged driver of the ute, a 20-year-old Willanda man, with dangerous driving causing death.

He was issued with a notice to appear in Chinchilla Magistrates Court on June 22.
