THE brains behind the winning cake at the street party Christmas cake bake sale and all-round great chef Kyle Eyres is put on the spot in this week's Q&A.

WHO would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Um, I'm not really sure. Someone who is better looking than me maybe.

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

Boats and Bundaberg rum.

Do you have any lucky items, objects or traditions?

Well it could be a start of a tradition, for the last three years I have worn the same chef jacket that won me awards for my best baked ham (two years in a row) and best basked Christmas cake (this year).

Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?

No, not really.

What three things do you think of most each day?

My dogs, when I can go fishing next and work.

What's been the best decision you've made in your life so far?

The best decision of my life so far would be taking my job as head chef at the Windsor Hotel and making a good reputation for me and my cooking in Dalby town.

What do you love most about where you live?

Dalby is a great little town to live in, people are friendly and always say hello in the street. It's great to see that in a small town.

What was your first car (or what would you like it to be)?

A Mazda BT-50.

What do you consider is the most important appliance in a house?

Probably the fridge because it keeps the rumbos cold.

What historical period would you like to live in if you could go back in time?

I would love to live when the pirates were around, because drinking rum before 10am on a boat makes you a pirate, not alcoholic.
