Contractor electrocuted in roof of Ipswich home

A contractor has died after he was electrocuted while working in the roof of a home west of Brisbane.

A contractor has died after he was electrocuted at an Ipswich home overnight.

A man in his 40s was electrocuted at a home on Tallegalla Two Tree Hill Road, Tallegalla about 7.45pm on Thursday.

The Courier-Mail understands the man, believed to be a contractor, was electrocuted in the roof.

He was treated at the scene for life-threatening injuries but died shortly after.

The Electrical Safety Office (ESO) was notified and attended the site of an incident that occurred in Tallegalla on Thursday night.

“As this is a current investigation no further comment can be made at this time,” an ESO spokeswoman said.
