A Brisbane police officer and former Cowboys Under-20s player has appeared in court on drug charges.
Cody Jace Maughan, 25, of Everton Hills, is facing two counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count of drug possession.
According to court documents police allege Maughan supplied cocaine to two people on different occasions in September last year.
Police also allege Maughan possessed oxycodone in October.
He was charged in March and suspended from official duty following an internal investigation.
Before becoming a cop Maughan played with the Cowboys Under-20s from 2015 to 2017.
He joined the police service in 2020 serving in Ingham before being moved to the South Bank station.
Maughan was last year named in the Queensland Police Rugby League side that played their NSW counterparts as the curtain raiser to the State of Origin Game Two at Suncorp Stadium.
Maughan appeared briefly in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
The case was adjourned to May 16 with Maughan granted bail on his own undertaking.
He declined to comment on his case outside court.
