Friends and family of a missing Tara man have woken to the devastating news he was found dead.

After being missing for 13 days, Aaron Davies was found dead in Tara on the Western Downs.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the 55-year-old Tara man was located this morning, August 1.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and police will prepare a report for the Coroner,” he said.

When concerned family and friends couldn’t get a hold of the Tara man on July 31, police were called to conduct a welfare check – but he wasn’t home.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police and family had held concern for Aaron’s safety and wellbeing as he suffered from a medical condition.
Mr Davies had been missing from his Adams Street home on the Western Downs, since Saturday, July 17.
