A massive stash of party drugs was allegedly uncovered in a Chinchilla couple’s room at a mining camp and accommodation village on the Western Downs.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said someone at the camp spotted MDMA and marijuana and quickly called authorities on Thursday afternoon, September 16.
The spokeswoman said a larger amount of psychedelic party drug was seized rather than the marijuana.
A 27-year-old Chinchilla man was charged with drug possession and possessing schedule one drug exceeding schedule three but under schedule 4 quantity.
A 29-year-old Chinchilla woman was charged with possessing a schedule one drug exceeding schedule three but under schedule 4 quantity.
The spokeswoman said the pair have a date with the Chinchilla Magistrates Court in October.
