RECENT rainfall has turned Western Downs' dry plains into fields of green just in time for the Easter holidays and the Drillham Hall community have come up with the perfect way to celebrate.
This weekend the hall will be holding their very first Easter brunch complete with a bonnet parade and egg hunt for the little ones.
The brunch will include bacon and egg burgers and pancakes, as well as tea and coffee thanks to the Drillham State School P&C.
Hall treasurer, Ms Kath Currin said the committee just wanted an excuse to get the wider community together.
"With all the recent rain it's a great time to come out for a visit and enjoy a morning in the country,” Ms Currin said.
"There will be novelty events and an Easter bonnet parade as well as a big egg hunt as well as the brunch of course,” she said.
The brunch will be taking off from 9am this Saturday, April 6 at the Drillham Hall on Coates Road.
To ensure there are enough chocolate eggs for all the children, please RSVP your attendance to Ms Currin on 0427 133 807.
