TRAVELLERS between Morven and Augathella will soon have a smoother journey, when large-scale works begin on the Landsborough Highway in the coming weeks.

The major highway is set to receive a 14km facelift in the form of full resealing works, which will take place between late April and late June, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) confirmed.

While the upgrades are in progress, TMR is warning truck drivers that their access could be restricted if they are carrying wide loads; it is also urging all motorists on the Landsborough Highway to slow down, drive carefully, and allow an extra 10 minutes for delays on their journey.
