THE ballot has been drawn for the Bulloo Shire local government election.

Here are the names of the 11 Council candidates, as they will be on the ballot paper.

MAYOR

• Ferguson, John (Tractor)

• Byrne, Daryl (Byrnesy)

• Williams, Brett

COUNCILLOR

• Girdler, Shirley

• Collins, Vaughn

• Morton, Stewart

• Petty, Alison

• Degoumois, Peter (Whip)

• Dare, Glyn (Dogga)

• Beetson, Janet A

• Ferguson, Russell (Rusty)

Local government elections are being held Queensland-wide on Saturday, March 28.

Bulloo Shire is a full postal-voting local government area, meaning all voters will receive their ballot forms in the mail to then fill out and return.

Mailing out of postal ballots in Queensland began on March 4, and forms must be completed no later than 6pm on election day.

The Electoral Commission of Queensland must receive postal votes no later than April 7, otherwise they will not be included in the election count.
