THE Block's most ambitious apartments yet are set to go under the hammer next week.

Months of hard work, sweat and - in some cases - tears have gone into the four luxury, loft-style apartments on the Fans vs Faves series.

With million-dollar price tags, Albert Park's newest residences are sure to spark a bidding war or two.

Returning Blockhead Dale Vine told The Guide he and partner-in-crime Brad Cranfield were "stoked" with their finished apartment.

"It's not until you do a final clean that you really get an appreciation of how all the spaces come together and how it feels as a liveable house," he said.

"We're really stoked with it.

"We're really confident the house will sell because of the area it's in. Albert Park is a really exclusive little pocket. The build itself is second to none and the apartment is really appealing. People are going to want to live here."

The laid-back larrikins have injected plenty of humour into this year's series, including their over-the-top dumb waiter prank on fellow faves Alisa and Lysandra Fraser.

"From day one it was good fun," Vine said.

"We never argued about anything for more than a minute or so. Everything was resolved really quickly.

"It doesn't become as personal as when you're dealing with your own girlfriend or wife. We had heaps of fun. We're still as good of mates as when we started it, that's the main thing."

Vine's humour has proved so popular this year that there's even talk of Channel 9 keeping an eye out for other TV projects for the 32-year-old landscaper.

"I haven't even spoken to Channel 9 about that stuff, but I read the newspaper articles and say 'Oh good on that guy'," he laughed.

"It would be exciting if something popped up.

"It would have to be something with a bit of humour in it I suppose. As long as it was something that entertains I'd be happy to be involved."
