Laura’s husband Steven also paid tribute to his stepson.

“My heart is broken not only for Little John who is now no longer with us, but for my wife Laura, and also his brothers Trevor Hyde, Matthew and Harley,” Mr Byron said.
“How can we ever recover from such a tragic loss. Also John's partner Amii Jayhn and his children who will go through life without a father’s love.
“No words can describe the feelings.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to support the families, with organiser Trudi Flute saying the families were experiencing “terrible heartache”.

“Any one that was apart of these two boys lives know how much of an impact this loss is having on the families and close friends,” Ms Flute wrote.

“They are going to be very, very missed by all that love them.”
