Verdict: The Avengers assemble awesomely
On DVD
THE Avengers was a fantastic movie. It was released April 25 this year and is available on DVD.
It is an action superhero film. It goes for 2 hours and 17 minutes - this is average for a superhero film.
It is a crossover of the Marvel Avenger heroes including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Hulk.
It also introduces the first movie of Black Widow, Hawkeye.
We also join up with Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson he has appeared in Iron Man 2 and Captain America, he has appeared in other recent Marvel superhero movies. It is rated M for supernatural violence.
The acting was perfect. I really enjoyed the characters that were introduced (Hawkeye and Black Widow) because they shined perfectly, they really got their beginner spotlight.
The best acting in the movie would have to go to Scarlett Johanson, because she introduced the Black Widow character PERFECTLY.
Robert Downey Jr who played Iron Man acted GREAT as well.
Chris Evans as Captain America was a perfect fit for the character, as we had seen in Captain America: The First Avenger, which I honestly think is worth a watch.
The Avengers demonstrated a better than average superhero movie plot.
But sometimes you get the feeling that it is the same as a superhero plot e.g. We have to save the world from an evil villain.
But it does it in a special way than a usual superhero movie would do.
The SHIELD scenery was perfectly made, it made it look like it was an actual ship, but obviously it was a studio.
The plot ended up great. And I have to admit it was very creative.
The script was perfect, I could not change it in any way, I couldn't find it hard to relate to in any way.
The direction was awesome because it really captivated the real Avengers.
Comic adaption - the movie made the comic proud, and that is a good thing because you get the feeling that, really the director and scriptwriters really understood the real Avengers. Mind blowing!
Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite films all year.
