Joseph Akers' Rise of the Guardians review

RISE of the Guardians is about where Pitch (the boogeyman) takes over childhood dreams, and to the limit that they stop believing in Santa, the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy.

The film has the voice talents of Alec Baldwin (from Beetlejuice) , Chris Pine (from This Means War), Isla Fisher (from Confessions of a Shopaholic) and Hugh Jackman (from Wolverine).

I was not happy with the film. It left me thinking about what I just saw.

The story was too simple and they focused to much on character development, which made the story rushed.

The script was really bad for what it could've been. Everything seemed to forced.

I only laughed about twice through the whole movie. The story is extremely small and it feels as if it has nowhere to go.

The animation is like one big hug, seems creepy, but it is so nice.

DreamWorks experimented with non-speaking roles, I thought it worked quite well, but that is arguable.

If I had to pick the best animated movie of the year, I would easily choose Disney Pixar's Brave.

This would probably be one of my worst animation films of the year.

The voice talents were extraordinary, in fact, the best voice talents of the year... but Wreck-It Ralph isn't out yet!

This movie is strictly for kids.
