A motorcyclist has tragically died after his bike and a ute collided in the Bundaberg region. This comes barely three days after another serious crash on the same road. UPDATE

A motorbike rider has died after in a horror crash in the Bundaberg region.
This comes less than 72 hours after another serious collision on the same road had emergency crews working to free one person trapped inside a vehicle.
Police, fire crews and paramedics responded to calls of a vehicle and motorcycle crash on Cedars Road, near the Cedars Road Bridge in South Kolan about 9.50am, April 26.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said a 50-year-old Bucca man had been riding a 2010 Harley Davidson when it and a Holden Colorado collided.
As of 10.30am paramedics were assessing one male patient, the rider, in a life-threatening condition with significant head and leg injuries.
Tragically he died at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Holden, a 55-year-old Blackwater man and a 47-year-old Blackwater woman, were not physically injured but were taken to Bundaberg Hospital as a precaution.
At the time lanes were reduced with police advising the Cedar Road Bridge would likely be closed.
The forensic crash unit is investigating.
Three days earlier, on April 23, emergency crews were called to a serious crash between a Holden Rodeo Ute and Nissan Dualis on Cedars Rd on the approach to the Burnett River Bridge.
One person was encapsulated in their vehicle with a fire crew needed to cut open the door.
The Nissan Dualis driver, a 54-year-old McIlwraith woman who was the only occupant, suffered serious injuries.
While the driver of the Holden Rodeo, a 26-year-old Pialba man, and three passengers, a 17-year-old Urangan man, 27-year-old Urraween man, and 26-year-old Cannonvale man, received minor injuries.
Five occupants from the two vehicles were taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing in relation to both crashes and anyone with dashcam footage in the area at the time, or with information, is urged to contact police.
