Joseph Akers gives After Earth a dressing down
AFTER Earth had promising trailers, yet I wasn’t really anticipating it as it didn’t look like it had room to explore.

After Earth is the new adventure film starring Jaden Smith and Will Smith.
It's directed by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs).

Let me just say straight away... After Earth is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
After Earth has a running time of 100 minutes, that's quite a short running time, especially for an adventure which usually make the two-hour mark. But 100 minutes is already enough for After Earth!
It is one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.
It didn't even get me gripped, and it's an adventure.
I mean I've wanted to go on an adventure with Bilbo (The Hobbit), Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz) and heck even Susan, Edmund, Peter and Lucy (The Chronicles of Narnia)...
But M. Night Syamalan just wasn't that good enough for me to join the adventure with Katai.
I don't mind Will Smith... I love Men in Black and Independence Day, but here he simply annoys me, and don't even get me started on Jaden.
After Earth looks horrible because it has weird positioning of the camera and laughable visual effects.
So many words can describe After Earth, but I am just going to stick with one sentence... "simply a cinematic disgrace".
