DESCRIBED as an "Esky on stilts" this centrally located Bundaberg home could just be the "bachelor pad" you have been looking for.

The George St home is made out of a shipping containers cold room upstairs and a shipping container downstairs, hence the nickname.

It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the owner, builder, Kirt Anthony needs it sold as soon as possible.

Mr Anthony said he purchased the 1012sq m land in 2014 with hopes to build his dream home but after financial hardship hit him he was now forced to sell.

He said the central location was ideal with a variety of places to eat or drink close-by.

"The land is perfect for a backpackers - I even have backpackers stay over when the hostel up the road is full," he said.

"It's the ultimate party house.

"There's so much land, we play cricket, slip and slide and the house is set back from the road too."

The 27-year-old said he wanted the unique house and land to sell between $270 - 300,000.

The home is listed with Michaels Real Estate. Agent John Solito said it would suit a builder or someone who could use the centrally located land.

"There are nine separate power connections along with six sewage connections," he said.

"The dwelling is all council approved and it's fully fenced."

Mr Solito said the land was classed Res B and the council required new buildings to be 1m off the ground as it was in a flood zone.

"This is Kirt's dream home and it's a shame he has to sell it," he said.

"But the land is central and that's the selling point."
