Emergency crews rushed to a residential street early this morning after reports of a single-storey house fire.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews were called to Barolin St address at about 4.25am, with six crews attending.

He said they arrived to the house, where the fire was about 9 by 15m in size.

Everyone in the house was evacuated and accounted for, and the fire was under control at 5.15am.

The Queensland Ambulance Service assessed four patients in stable conditions.

No hospital transports were required and paramedics had left by 6am.

A QFD spokeswoman said fire investigators will attend the scene later today or tomorrow to look into what caused the fire.
