The Bundaberg Regional Council was the centre of celebration and debate in 2023, from the decision to not raise rates in a ‘cost of living’ budget applauded by ratepayers to the lack of transparency over major multi million dollar projects questioned by others. From budget concerns to helpful community projects and the announcement of new running mates looking to take their seat at the table, the Bundaberg Regional Council has faced no shortage of challenges in 2023.

While the 2023/2024 budget was applauded for the decision to keep rates down, a lack of transparency over multimillion-dollar projects launched Right to Information requests and council debates.

Community Christmas projects and free concerts raised community spirits while many in the region struggled against the cost-of-living crisis.

As 2024 officially begins and upcoming council elections creep ever closer, take a moment to have your say on the recent work of the Bundaberg Regional Council.
