Bundaberg Relay for Life raises more than $70,000

The annual Relay for Life cancer fundraiser returned to Bundaberg on Saturday with 38 teams stepping it out for a cause. PHOTO GALLERY.

The popular Cancer Council initiative Relay for Life returned to Bundaberg for its 2023 event, with the hopes of raising lifesaving money.

The event began at noon on Saturday October 21 at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct.

This year, the aim was to raise $105,000 with all funds going towards lifesaving research, prevent and support programs.

Throughout the day and into the night, 38 teams from across the Wide Bay made their way to the precinct, with 450 relayers already raising more than $70,000 by midafternoon.
