Multiple fire crews battle machinery shed blaze at South Kolan
A machinery shed fire has prompted a major emergency response west of Bundaberg, with four fire crews racing to tackle the blaze. Video, photos.
Multiple fire crews raced to the scene of a shed fire at South Kolan, west of Bundaberg on Wednesday afternoon.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said a fire broke out on a regional property 25 minutes west of Bundaberg on Wednesday afternoon and was well involved.
He said a building, which appears to have been a machinery shed, had become engulfed in flames with four QFD crews responding.
The fire reportedly broke out on a rural residential block opposite the Birthamba rural fire station.
At the scene, emergency services filled water tanks, while paramedics and police remained of standby for fire crews.
Nobody was injured or needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.
As of 1.35pm, one ambulance crew was on the scene at the property near Birthamba Rd, in South Kolan.
