Acorn East has been voted by NewsMail readers as Bundaberg’s Best Early Learning Centre in 2025.

“It is a blessing that families have taken the time to show their support and vote for Acorn East,” an Acorn spokeswoman said on hearing the news.

Acorn won with 17 per cent of the vote out of 25 finalists.
Coming in second was Bears and Books, and third was Bonney Tots Early Learning Centre.
As the largest childcare service in the region, catering to 197 children each day, the centre credits its success to its dedicated team of educators.
“We have an amazing group of educators that I am thankful for every single day.
“The love and support they give to the children each day is what it’s all about, and I am extremely proud of them.”

Established in 2014, Acorn East initially operated with a capacity for 152 children a day but has since expanded.
In addition, it has introduced a free-standing school-age care facility for children aged five to 12 and houses Acorn College, a registered training organisation on site.

The centre says its approach to early childhood education is guided by its core values: nurture, care, and growth.
“Our educators form secure attachments to the children in our care, allowing them to feel confident to fully engage in our daily program,” the spokesman said.

“This award highlights the valued work our educators, as well as all other childcare services, provide day in and day out.”

“Acorn is always growing and changing with the times.

“We have recently purchased a third service in Gin Gin, which is fantastic for that community.

“As for Acorn East, we do have some plans for 2025… but you will need to wait and see!”
