Brisbane has snagged a spot on Metallica’s list for their major stadium tour heading down under in 2025

Brisbane rock fans have avoided yet another snub by a global music supergroup, with confirmation American heavy metal giants Metallica will be coming to the River City for the first time since 2013. See the details.

A major American rock band has announced they are heading down under next year and, unlike some highly anticipated tours, will not be snubbing Brisbane.

Metallica’s hit M72 World Tour will take its next leg to Australia late in 2025, playing to stadiums in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, while Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium secures a show on November 12.

Known for their hits Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman and Ride the Lightning, tickets are expected to be snatched up fast, with their infamous “Snake Pit” extending from the front stage set to be featured.

American rock band Evanescence will join the ride — with hits Bring Me To Life and Going Under — as well as Suicidal Tendencies, best known for their hit Institutionalized.

This will mark the first time Metallica has toured Australian shores since the 2013 Soundwave Festival after a cancelled stadium tour in 2020.

It follows a run of several superstar artists and bands snubbing Brisbane on their own stadium tours in 2024, including Dua Lipa, Green Day, Pearl Jam, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift.

Fans of the rockers will have access to a range of ticket experiences including a meet and greet, production and stage tour, food and beverage in the “Black Box” lounge, early entry into the venue, and the Snake Pit.

The popular “I Disappear Ticket” will also be available, which enables fans to attend to all six shows in Australia and New Zealand.

2024 Suncorp Stadium Members and Local Residents' can access pre-sale tickets to purchase before the General Public Onsale, commencing 2pm Friday November 1 until 11am Monday November 4.

Live Nation members will also have pre-sale access.

General Tickets will be on sale on Monday, November 4 at 12pm Brisbane local time.
