Boy, 16, charged over spate of break-ins at Ipswich, South Brisbane businesses

A 16-year-old boy has been charged following a series of break and enters across South East Queensland earlier this month.

A teenager has been charged following a series of break and enters across Ipswich and South Brisbane earlier this month.

Police allege the boy was involved in multiple break and enters of businesses in Boonah, Springfield, Browns Plains, Springfield Lakes, South Brisbane and Brassall between January 9 and 23.

Detectives from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a Park Ridge address on January 24, where a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody without incident.

He has been charged with 21 counts of enter premises and commit, three counts of receive tainted property and one count of stealing.

The boy is due to appear before Ipswich Childrens Court today, January 25.
