Beefy’s reopens store at Cannon Hill in Brisbane’s east

An iconic Sunshine Coast pie brand is bringing its mouth-watering eats back to Brisbane after leaving the city in 2021 - and there are free pies to mark the occasion.
The newest and only Brisbane Beefy’s store at Cannon Hill reopened on Tuesday in its original Wynnum Rd storefront, after huge demand from locals.
General Manager of Operations Jason Lyons said the team was grateful to have had the chance to reopen in Brisbane.
“We’ve had incredible demand from Brisbane locals to bring Beefy’s back to Cannon Hill after closing in 2021 after 8 1⁄2 years of successful trade,” he said.
“When we were looking for a new Brisbane home, it felt right to start again in Cannon Hill and reconnect with our loyal community of customers.
“We were lucky that the site became available again.”
Established in the Sunshine Coast in 1997 with its first store at Aussie World, Beefy’s has been recently acquired by the Retail Food Group, owners of Gloria Jeans and Donut King.
The new storefront officially opened its doors today, and will host a grand opening event on Friday, October 25, where there will be free pies up for grabs, including gluten-free.
“There will be ‘buy one get one free’ Signature Steak Pies all day, including our gluten free pies, as well as limited time deals and a visit from our brand mascot, Mr. Beefy,” Lyons said.
“Our new Cannon Hill team can’t wait to get to know locals by name, pie and coffee order.
“We will also be teaming up with the local community to support businesses, events and groups in the future with our Pie Drives and fundraising events.”
Beefy’s offers their range of multi-award winning signature steak pies, sausage rolls and sweet treats, alongside DiBella coffee and Coeliac Australia Endorsed gluten-free products.
