Bank executive Christopher James McCann found dead at Springbrook

A Sydney bank executive who procured underage children for sex at a Brisbane hotel room has died.

Christopher McCann, 50, was arrested and charged by police after allegedly procuring two teenage girls for sex while staying at Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane City in May.

McCann, an executive at Commonwealth Bank, faced court on Monday and was granted bail with strict conditions.

The Courier-Mail understands McCann was found dead at Springbrook on Wednesday afternoon.

Queensland Police Service are not treating his death as suspicious.

“A report will be prepared for the Coroner following the non-suspicious death of a man at Springbrook yesterday,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.
