The sister of an elite Gold Coast tennis coach charged with child sex offences has been hit with a string of unrelated charges linked to hundreds of thousands of dollars in alleged dishonest dealings with her real estate business.

In a difficult week for the family, siblings Ryan and Alyce Kebblewhite actually appeared in court on the same day as they faced separate criminal cases.

Ryan, 38, was charged with five child sex offences including rape after he was dramatically arrested during a junior tournament at the KDV Sport tennis academy at Carrara on Sunday.

He faced Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

On the same day Alyce, 34, appeared in the same court complex for an unrelated matter, charged with dishonestly transferring hundreds of thousands of dollars from her real estate trust account into personal and business bank accounts.

Neither sibling is required to enter a plea at this stage.

In court documents, the Office of Fair Trading alleges Ms Kebblewhite engaged in 592 dishonest transactions totalling more than $460,000 between April 2022 and October last year through her agency AJK Property.

She has been charged with a total of 10 offences under the Agents Financial Administration Act and Property Occupations Act.

Court documents allege she received thousands of dollars in rent and bond money for properties across the Gold Coast and Logan and failed to receipt the money or deposit it into her business trust account on time or at all.

Between April 2022 and June last year, Ms Kebblewhite is accused of dishonestly converting 44 amounts totalling $47,002.50 from the trust account to her business bank account, 179 amounts totalling $127,344.46 into a joint bank account operated by her and her partner and 368 amounts totalling $327,864.45 into a personal bank account.

The OFT also alleges she dishonestly converted $6060.89 which was withdrawn from the trust account last October, according to court documents.

Documents allege the trust account had a deficit of $98,768.09 as at June 1 last year.

Ms Kebblewhite, who is due back in court in April, has yet to enter a plea to the charges.

In 2022, she was featured in a real estate website story about a growing number of property agents who were turning their backs on major agencies to launch their own boutique brands.

She told how she had opened AJK Property as a remote business model after shopfronts became increasingly redundant during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Most of the buyers I sold to were from interstate during that lockdown period, and it highlighted that gone are the days where you need a massive shopfront,” she said at the time.

“At the moment, it is not suited to me for my business model. I can work from anywhere.”

Mr Kebblewhite, a former Queensland Tennis Awards winner who is facing five charges including rape, indecent dealing and grooming, is due back in court next month.

His bail conditions include surrendering his passport, reporting three times a week to police, having no contact with children under 16 except his own two kids and not attending KDV Sport.

KDV Sport said this week that Mr Kebblewhite was “no longer with the organisation”.
