Prince William has enjoyed quality time with his children at a Father’s Day event amid new reports of the real reason Prince Harry did the Oprah interview.

Prince William has enjoyed quality time with his children at a Father’s Day event, as new claims emerge about what caused Prince Harry to do his infamous Oprah interview.

Prince George, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 6, helped their father kick off a half marathon event on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.

Dressed casually in a pale blue shirt, William addressed runners and then held the microphone down to his children so that they could count down to the start of the race together.

There was no sign of the Duchess of Cambridge or the couple’s youngest child, Prince Louis.

The Cambridges shared a series of photos as part of a video collage to mark Father’s Day, the royal family’s first without Prince Philip.

In a moving tribute, Prince Charles posted family images to mark the big day, with a shout out “to all Papas everywhere.

One image showed the young Prince Charles with Philip in a black-and-white portrait.

Another showed him with his own sons, William and Harry, at a polo match.

William appeared relaxed and smiling at the Sandringham event, just as new claims were being made about why his brother, Prince Harry decided to do his interview with Oprah Winfrey.

It had been thought his anger had been triggered by his father Charles telling him that Harry’s son Archie could not be a prince.

But The Sun has revealed he lost his cool after an argument about keeping his titles.

A source said: “There was a bust-up just before Oprah but it wasn’t to do with Archie’s title.

“That had been known and discussed for quite a while.

“Harry and Meghan were very cross before Oprah because the final Megxit separation had just been signed off which included Harry not keeping military roles.

“That was what made him so angry. He’s very emotional and his military roles were very important to him given that he served.”

It comes as a report in The Times detailed explosive row between Prince Harry and Prince William in 2018.

Royal biographer Rober Lacey alleged that Prince William split the Kensington Palace household he had jointly operated with Prince Harry for over a decade over Meghan Markle’s alleged bullying of loyal staffers.

PIERS SLAMS MEGHAN IN NEW ATTACK

Piers Morgan is still gunning for Meghan Markle, this time calling her “Princess Pinocchio” in his latest attack.

“I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio,” Morgan said amid rumours he may return to Good Morning Britain.

Page Six reports the former tabloid journalist came up with the nickname amid rumours he might return to Good Morning Britain, the show he quit in March after the Duchess of Sussex made a formal complaint about him, causing him to storm off the set.

“ITV didn’t get rid of me. I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio,” the 56-year-old former America’s Got Talent judge tweeted.

Replying to a since-deleted message from an apparent critic, Morgan also bragged about how he “still [works] for ITV,” sharing news of an upcoming interview show the UK channel is broadcasting.

Morgan quickly became Markle’s fiercest critic, repeatedly accusing her of lying in her damning TV tell-all with Oprah Winfrey in March, in which she accused husband Prince Harry’s family of racism and leaving her contemplating suicide.

Markle lodged a formal complaint with ITV over Morgan — and he quit his popular breakfast show soon after storming off-set when confronted on air by weatherman Alex Beresford.

Morgan shared a news story about rumours he could return to his Good Morning Britain job, asking, “Did anyone take my dressing room?”

WILLIAM ‘THREW HARRY OUT’ AMID BULLYING CLAIMS

Prince William decided to divide the royal household at Kensington Palace after an explosive row with his brother Prince Harry over Meghan Markle in 2018, a new book has claimed.

Historian Robert Lacey claims the brothers clashed over allegations that Meghan bullied staffers, reportedly leaving at least one worker suffering post traumatic stress disorder due to the “toxic” environment.

Prince William reportedly split the royal household he had operated with Prince Harry for over a decade amid claims of bullying.

According to Lacey, the brothers’ joint communications secretary, Jason Knauf, spoke up for staff after hearing claims of mistreatment by the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan, the book claims, humiliated staffers and always seemed intent on “always having someone in her sights”.

Knauf reportedly compiled a dossier outlining allegations, which was sent to Prince William’s private secretary.

Prince William, who Lacey said had always taken a paternalistic and caring approach to staffers, was reportedly horrified and came to believe that Meghan “had an agenda” and was “fundamentally hostile to the royal system”.

William confronted his brother in an angry phone call, before Harry hung up, the book claims.

Lacey said: “Harry shut off his phone angrily, so William went to speak to him personally. Prince William was horrified by what he had just been told about Meghan’s alleged behaviour, and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say.”

During this conversation, insiders told Lacey, Harry voiced his belief that someone in the royal circle was “racist” – but the book does not say who this referred to.

Prince Harry was hurt that his older brother believed the accusations about Meghan, while William was “appalled” at what he heard and felt justified in having had doubts about his sister-in-law before she married into the family, Lacey claims in his book.

Despite having operated a joint household with his younger brother at Kensington Palace for a decade, he instructed his team to separate them.

An insider told Lacey: “William threw Harry out”.

QUEEN MAKES APPEARANCE AT ASCOT

The Queen visited Royal Ascot without her late husband Prince Philip for the first time on Saturday, local time.

The 95-year-old monarch, dressed in mint green, arrived by limousine into the paddock where an army band played a rendition of the national anthem.

The crowd roared its approval as she stepped down from the car and waved into the crowd, which had assembled for the annual race meeting, a major event on the British social calendar.

Heir to the throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla attended earlier in the week with Princess Anne.

The Queen reportedly watched the racing through the week from nearby Windsor Castle. Her racing manager John Warren says she begins each day reading the Racing Post and paying keen attention to the breeding of all the winners.

Her Majesty has several horses in the race, beginning with Reach For The Moon in the opening race, the Chesham Stakes.

She has enjoyed plenty of success at the meeting through the decades, most notably in 2013 when Estimate won the flagship race, the Ascot Gold Cup.

Attending day five of the races, the Queen paired her pastel dress with a matching hat and pink floral detailing.

She beamed as she was welcomed by her entourage.

It is the first time the Queen has attended Royal Ascot since 2019 – as the races were called off during the Covid lockdown last year.

FURY OVER HARRY AND MEGHAN’S SPOTIFY GIG

It comes as there is anger at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broadcasting just 35 minutes of content after their £18 million ($A33m) Spotify podcast deal.

According to The Sun, streaming giant bosses were “looking forward to a full-scale launch of shows” this year – but Harry and Meghan have so far failed to follow up on their Christmas 2020 special.

And now, having spent seven months without publishing new Spotify content, the pair have decided to take several months off following the birth of their new baby daughter Lilibet.

Royal author Phil Dampier said: “We’re being told they’re having up to five months off and people who are paying them a lot of money will expect something in return.

“They seem to be using up a lot of ammunition very early and putting a lot of stuff out there in terms of deals and agreements with lots of firms.

“The question might be asked whether they have too much on their plate.”
