A husband and wife duo with five decades of industry experience have opened an office in one of the Sunshine Coast’s fastest growing suburbs.
Paul, 56 and Jo O’Brien, 52, along with their 25-year-old daughter Jamie recently opened an office in Caloundra’s Aura community.
The O’Briens owned Ray White Beerwah for 11 years before stepping back in 2020.
Mr O’Brien said they received an offer “too good to be true” and parted ways with the Beerwah agency and took 18 months off.
But watching the growth of Aura over the past five years motivated the couple to return to the game.
They’ve opened Ray White Aura with daughter Jamie who started in the industry in her teenage years.
“We are here for the local families because we’re a family business as well,” Mr O’Brien said.
“We are experienced and knowledgeable but Jamie being in the sales role will give us an innovative edge.”
The O’Briens said they were particularly drawn to Ray White more than 10 years ago because of the culture and reputation of the group.
“Our business is a family business - we even think of our staff as family - and so is Ray White, this culture really resonated with us as well,” he said.
Jamie will take up a leading role in the sales side of the business alongside her father and said they have set themselves some ambitious goals that they are more than equal to achieving.
“We hope to make Ray White Aura as much of a success as Ray White Beerwah with a commanding market share while also servicing our clients to the highest possible standards,” she said.
