After experiencing his own mental health challenges Stephen Ott, 29, has launched a clothing brand that serves as more than just a fashion statement.

Alongside his wife Ana, 31, the couple recently started their new business Antihaste selling a range of shirts, hoodies and caps.

“The idea of Antihaste started many moons ago as a small reality check for me to slow down, relax and recharge while dealing with life’s many ups and downs,” Mr Ott said.

“It became more of a philosophy which proved essential in making important decisions, practising patience, working hard towards goals or waiting for the right moment to take action instead of rushing in.

“We have experienced how busy, stressful and fast-paced life can be and that’s why we are passionate about helping people navigate their way through life while looking good at the same time.”

Designed and printed in Australia the co-founders said all products are created to the highest quality and ethical standards.

Mr Ott said the brand’s clothing collections feature small or one-off designs.

“As a clothing brand we value sustainability and focus on making pieces that are good for people and the environment,” he said.

“All of our clothing items are of premium quality, from the choice of fabric to their detailing because we want to create pieces that will last to help people buy less and better and therefore minimise waste.

“Each collection features limited edition designs carefully crafted by us, most of them with a hand drawn illustration by me.”

Items are also delivered in low-impact, 100% recycle and plastic-free packaging.

The Toowoomba-based couple said they hope to one day grow the business to reach a global scale and will be releasing a new collection soon.

Products range from $35 to $90.

Delivery to the Toowoomba area is free or nationally for orders over $100.
