Police search for speedy shoe thief suspect

POLICE are searching for a man suspected of stealing a pair of shoes from a Toowoomba shopping centre.

POLICE are searching for a man suspected of stealing a pair of shoes from a Toowoomba shopping centre.

Officers say the man pictured may be able to assist with inquires in relation to some stolen shoes from a store at Grand Central, Toowoomba, at about 4pm on Wednesday September 2.

The missing pair of shoes are an ASICS Gel Kayano 22 'Lite Show' (pictured above).

Police think the man removed the shoes from a box and hid them up his shirt.

It took him about four minutes to enter and leave the shopping centre with the shoes.

A spokesman said the theft was "quite speedy".
