A WOMAN who was required to have an interlock device fitted on her car told police she couldn't afford it when she was found to be driving under the influence of liquor at the weekend.
The 29-year-old woman was intercepted by police about 1.35am Saturday on Archibald St, Dalby, for a breath test.
Police checks found the woman was driving without a licence, having not renewed it since a prior disqualification.
Checks also found the woman was driving a vehicle without an interlock device which was a requirement.
The woman allegedly told police she couldn't afford to have the device fitted to her vehicle, and was aware she had not renewed her licence.
The woman allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test, recording 0.153 per cent back at the Dalby police station.
She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, and unlicensed driving.
She is due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on July 30.
The woman was one of several motorists charged by Dalby police across the weekend.
A 47-year-old woman has been charged with drug driving and is due to front court after allegedly returning a positive roadside drug test.
The woman was allegedly driving a vehicle on Palmer St, Dalby, when she was intercepted about 3.50pm Saturday.
A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly found a man, 41, in possession of methamphetamines, drug utensils and a knife.
The man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with two counts of possess dangerous drugs, possess drug utensils and possess a knife in a public place.
In an unrelated incident, a woman has had her vehicle forfeited to police after she was found to be driving without a licence by a police patrol.
Officers intercepted the woman on Archibald St about 10.05am Friday, near the corner of Condamine St.
Checks found the 28-year-old was allegedly driving without a licence with it having been expired for two years.
The woman was charged with unlicensed driving, and was issued a production notice to surrender her vehicle to police.
Warrego Highway patrols near Dalby saw two women charged in separate incidents.
A woman, 42, returned a positive roadside drug test when she was intercepted about 5.30pm Saturday, and a second woman, 33, was charged with drug driving after a roadside test about 4.30pm Sunday.
