POLICE have closed the Warrego Hwy in both directions at Plainland due to a bushfire affecting visibility.

POLICE have closed the Warrego Hwy in both directions at Plainland due to a bushfire affecting visibility.
All four lanes of the highway were closed about midday.
The closure is only expected to remain in place for about 10 minutes.
Police report that visibility in the area, especially near the Plainland Hotel, is "extremely poor".
There are concerns that the fire could "jump the road".
