LETTER OF THE DAY: My wife recently flew to Sydney on the new Qantaslink service.
She was most impressed with the new airport and the flight itself.
However, when she went to the Sydney desk to collect her return boarding pass she asked for "Brisbane West Wellcamp".
The desk attendant was totally nonplussed, but finally said, "Oh, you mean TOOWOOMBA Wellcamp!" and the pass was duly issued marked "Toowoomba Terminal".
One can but hope that the sanity which appears to prevail in Sydney will eventually make its way here.
Incidentally, the code for our new airport is WTB - Wellcamp-Toowoomba?
