THE teachers of Oakey State High School celebrated the hard work and academic achievements of their students at the school's annual awards night.
The awards night was held on October 31 at the Oakey Cultural Centre with community representatives such as Gail Jones from the Lions Club and members from Toowoomba Regional Council.
Oakey State High School principal Danny Keenan said he was proud of the students' achievements and grateful for the contributions made by the families, school staff and the local community.
"Achievements means many things to many people. This is true for our students, parents, staff, family and friends, the Parents and Citizens Association and more,” Mr Keenan said.
"Millions of studies by smarter people than I agree that the best results come when school and home work together.
"Our recent school opinion survey results tell me parents and carers think we are on the right track.”
