Update: Northern Territory police say they’ve reunited a young boy with his family after he was missing for a number of hours in Darwin.
On Thursday afternoon police put an alert out for 16-year-old Kobey, who was last seen on Laidlaw Ct in Bayview at 2.30pm Thursday afternoon
However, by 5pm, Police said they’d found Kobey and reunited him with his parents.
Once the alert went out via Facebook a number of people commeneted they’d spotted Kobey around Darwin.
He was sighted on Garramilla Blvd heading towards Dinah Beach Rd with a teddy bear.
Police thanked the public for their help, but made no mention of where he was found.
NT Police hold concerns for 16-year-old boy missing in Darwin
Initial: Northern Territory police say they hold concerns for a 16-year-old boy, who was last in Darwin.
Police put out an alert for 16-year-old Kobey just before 4pm on Thursday.
He was seen in Laidlaw Ct, Bayview, around 2.30pm Thursday, police said.
Kobey is described as about 175cm tall with a lean build, police said, and has a long dark mullet wearing grey pyjamas with long pants and long sleeves while barefoot.
Police said he was non-verbal and has autism.
He has been sighted just outside the Darwin CBD on Garramilla Blvd heading towards Dinah Beach Rd holding a teddy bear.
Anyone who sees Kobey is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444.
