Welcome to the NT News’ rolling coverage of Territory politics, where this week’s parliament sittings were one of the toughest tests yet for the Country Liberal government.

Parliament to date has seen the CLP lead a strong reform agenda almost entirely on its own terms, but the unfolding ‘job for a mate’ police recruitment scandal has posed a true test of leadership for Lia Finocchiaro and her team.

Also on the agenda was the Territory Coordinator Bill, scrapping the debt cap, portable long-service leave, public housing reforms, and school attendance reforms.
