It’s crunch time for thousands of senior students across the Territory as exams loom in the last term of the school year.

NT public school students return to classrooms on Tuesday – less than a week before the first wave of final exams begin.

Students enrolled in stage two language classes will take their oral and written exams on October 14.

Some independent schools welcomed students back on Monday.

According to the NTCET website, all other exams will take place between November 4 and 15.

Education and Training Minister Jo Hersey said she looked forward to welcoming students back to classrooms for term four.

“The final term is always a big term with students completing assessments and exams, particularly for those in the secondary years,” Mrs Hersey said.

“For our year 12 students, while you have a few big exams and assessments left, I encourage you to stay focused for the remaining weeks but also take time to reflect on the amazing work that you have achieved so far and the exciting pathways ahead.

“I know many of the parents are looking forward to getting back into routine.

“It certainly gives me a great appreciation for the amazing work that our teachers and school staff do to support our children and students.”
