A man suffered a serious spinal injury after his car collided with a tree at Parramatta.

Man reunited with CareFlight staff who saved his life

A man in his 30s has been flown to hospital after suffering a serious spinal injury after his car reportedly left the road and collided with a tree on Rosehill St, Parramatta, on Tuesday morning.

NSW Ambulance dispatched the CareFlight helicopter to the incident just after 8.30am when it landed at Ollie Webb Reserve in Parramatta.

The flight crew provided initial treatment to the man at the scene.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment on the man, including an ultrasound and close heart monitoring.

The man was taken by ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital, in a stable condition, receiving ongoing treatment from CareFlight’s specialist doctor.
