Major police crackdown on new G7 underworld group nets four arrests

A young group allegedly working for major underworld networks like the Alameddines have been targeted in a major NSW Police crackdown.

A young group allegedly being recruited to assist and carry out violent acts for major underworld networks like the Alameddines have been stopped in their tracks by police, just months after their existence was first uncovered.

A group of teenagers and young men from Sydney’s southwest, calling themselves “G7”, have allegedly become a go-to for various organised crime clans in 2025, as conflict between the Alameddines and their one-time associates the KVT played out in public.

As the feud between the two groups escalated, police formed Taskforce Falcon to investigate multiple murders and other shootings.

Taskforce Falcon commander Superintendent Jason Box told The Daily Telegraph soon after the super squad was formed detectives began investigating G7 – finding alleged links to several headline-making incidents.

“We’ve only become aware of them since Taskforce Falcon commenced in the start of June,” Supt Box said.

“They’ve come under notice of a number of strike forces, which has led to collective arrests for all those that we’re aware of,” Supt Box said

“We have looked at (incidents) preceding Taskforce Falcon. (G7 associates) were charged for offences and shootings as far back as March.”

Those offences included two shootings in which innocent people were targeted.

In one, a Merrylands home with a mother and her four children inside was sprayed with 28 bullets.

Two 15-year-old boys, both allegedly linked to G7, have since been charged over those shootings and remain before the courts.

Supt Box said the “unusual” element about G7 was the “willingness” for youths “to take on serious offences without a second thought”.

“They’re involved in staging vehicles in preparation for these offences, they’re involved in the offences, and the planning for post these offences,” he said.

Taskforce Falcon investigators have so far laid 280 charges against 121 individuals, and seized 53 “kill cars” ready for use in crime.

Police allege 17 of those vehicles have been put in place by G7 members and associates.

As part of their crackdown on the group, Taskforce Falcon arrested four alleged members of G7 this week.

Raptor Squad officers carried out a raid on Wednesday morning at a home in Menai, where they ignored the “please take off your shoes” sign and instead bashed in the front door with a battering ram.

Inside they allegedly found $29,150 in cash, more than 1kg of cocaine, a single-barrel shotgun and various rounds of ammunition.

A short time later Raptor Squad officers dramatically arrested Blaze Collins, who was dragged out of his car and handcuffed in the middle of the road, as a police dog barked viciously in his face.

Collins was later charged with possessing a shortened firearm, participating in a criminal group and driving while his licence was cancelled.

Tyreece Paraku, 21, was also pulled from a vehicle as he drove through Blacktown, before being taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with seven offences, including possessing a shortened firearm, dealing with the proceeds of crime, and supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

Neither Collins or Paraku applied for bail on Thursday and both will return to court in the coming weeks.

Zane Pera, 18, was also charged with seven offences, including participating in a criminal group, possessing an unauthorised firearm, supplying a firearm to an unauthorised person, and multiple driving offences.

He is next due to appear in court Campbelltown Local Court on August 27.

On Thursday, a fourth man allegedly linked to G7 was issued a future court attendance notice for gun, driving and criminal groups offences. He will face Burwood Local Court on August 12.
