An elderly woman has been left in a critical condition after driving her mobility scooter off a 5 metre high balcony in Sydney’s west.

An elderly woman has been left in a critical condition after driving her mobility scooter off a five-metre high balcony in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Penrith RSL just after 11am, where a woman in her 70s is believed to have fallen off the balcony, suffering multiple life threatening injuries.
A specialist medical team was flown onto the scene by the Toll Ambulance Helicopter to assist on ground.
The elderly woman was treated on the scene with cuts to her leg and facial injuries, before being transported to Westmead Hospital, where she remains.
