Trafficwerx NT celebrate big wins at the national awards

A humble team of Territorians has been recognised for its hard work, scooping a pair of titles at an awards night in Sydney.

A humble team of Territorians has been recognised for its hard work, scooping a pair of titles at a national awards event.

This month, a small group from Trafficwerx NT attended the Traffic Management Association of Australia excellence awards night in Sydney.

Nominated for multiple awards, the Territory team snagged two top gongs.

For work on the Australia Day Ute Run, Trafficwerx NT was awarded ‘Traffic Management Project/Event of the Year’.
The company landed another win when it was announced as the ‘Traffic Management Company of the Year (Tier 1 -2)’.

Trafficwerx NT have been operating in the Territory for 15 years.

Director Chris Boyer said the achievement was a credit to his team’s hard work.

“Our industry is very safety conscious because it’s probably one of the most dangerous jobs out there in the world,” he said.

“We’re constantly evolving and trying to be as innovative as we can be.”

Having recently celebrated 15 years of service in the Territory, Mr Boyer said the company looked forward to the dry season ahead.

“This wet season has been busy for us because traditionally if it’s a really big wet season there’s a lot of things to do - trees down, roads that need to be repaired (and sometimes) construction will keep working,” he said.

“The biggest thing for us is safety (and) training our workers to keep them safe on the roads.”
