A talented group of Territorians have been selected to fill the NT Talent Academy’s under-16s boys team set to compete in the Marsh AFL National Championships.
The side set to take on three matches across June and July boasts a strong NTFL presence led by this year’s leading goal scorer, Owen Campbell from the Palmerston Magpies.
St Mary’s Kairyce Lowah will hold down the defensive end fresh off a best on ground showing in the 2024-25 under-18s NTFL grand final.
Alongside them is the 2023-24 under-14’s grand final standout Sydney Jack-Baker and several NT News Rising Star nominees Hau-Tze Rock, Sonny Smiler and Deacon Summerville.
PINT’s Hugo Timms will be one to look out for in the midfield and has the under-14’s best and fairest medal to back up his selected.
Pioneer’s Dillon Mallard claimed the TIO CAFL under-15s best and fairest in 2024 and will get the chance to mix it up against some of the best young players in the country.
Several players who gained early exposure by stepping up to the under-18s level earlier this year have also been named including Brock Sandry, Ben Barnard, Gus Trigwell and Isaac Herold.
The NT side will open their campaign against Tasmania on June 9 at 10:00am at Chirnside Park, before facing the GWS Giants Academy on July 14 at 12:25pm at People First Stadium.
They will wrap up their campaign against the Brisbane Lions Academy on July 17 at 2:00pm at Fankhauser Reserve.
