Positive Covid-19 case detected in Darwin, no lockdown for region
A positive Covid-19 case has been detected in Darwin after a traveller flew in from NSW. Contract tracing is now underway for the other passengers on the flight.

A POSITIVE Covid-19 case has been detected in Darwin, with the man now in quarantine.
A man from Newcastle, who transited through the Brisbane domestic airport and then onto Darwin, has tested positive to coronavirus.
The man had the necessary approval to travel to Darwin and went straight from the airport to Howard Springs.
The man flew in on Flight JQ484 on Friday, September 17.
The Chief Minister’s office said Darwin was not going into lockdown, and the man did not spend any time in the community.
The spokesman said there were no exposure sites for the city and contract tracing was underway for the passengers on-board the flight from Brisbane.
