A man is in hospital with ‘suspected traumatic brain injuries’ after he was the victim of an alleged hit-and-run outside Monsoons on Sunday morning.

A man in his 50s was hospitalised after he was the victim of an alleged hit-and-run outside Monsoons on Sunday morning.
Northern Watch Commander Steve Langdon said the man was allegedly struck by a blue Toyota HiLux outside the popular nightclub along Mitchell St at 12.30am.
Police allege the impact tossed the male into the air, causing him to land on a nearby stationary car before hitting the road.
Police allege the driver sped off and failed to stop, allegedly running a red light at the corner of Mitchell and Daly Streets, before exiting the CBD via Daly and the Stuart Highway, according to police.
Multiple witnesses rendered assistance to the victim.
The driver of the vehicle that the pedestrian was thrown into stopped at the scene and waited for police.
Police said the victim was crossing Mitchell Street near the intersection of Nuttall Place when he was allegedly struck by the utility.
Emergency Services attended and treated the male at the scene before taking him to Royal Darwin Hospital for assessment of his injuries.
A St John NT spokeswoman said the man is 49 years old and was treated for a “suspected traumatic brain injury”.
He currently remains in a stable condition.
Later on Sunday police arrested a 24-year-old man at a residence in Woolner in relation to the alleged CBD hit-and-run.
He currently remains in custody at the Palmerston Watchhouse with charges expected to follow.
